The Day Starts With Coffee and G.O.R.P and Ends With Chocolate
We are not restaurant goers. On Sundays we make an exception, and go to the San Francisco Coffee Company for coffee and Butter Brezen.
The rest of the week we eat simple and healthy. For the start of the day we have two coffee maker for breakfast: an espresso maker and a coffee press. We have coffee as we munch on G.O.R.P. (Good Old Raisins and Peanuts).
For lunch we have a plateful of salami or herring, cheese and vegetables. Followed by coffee and an apple or tangerine and chocolate.
One of my favorite dinner supper meals starts out with simple bratwurst A.K.A. “Hot Dogs,” cauliflower, mushrooms, and green onions.
Occasionally, in these Covid times of “No Partying,’’ we invite the couple who own the optik shop in the bottom two floors up to the top floor. We wanted to celebrate a Thanksgiving holiday and introduce them to Eggnog with a topping of nutmeg. It has been 400 year since the Puritans came over on the Mayflower in 1621 and celebrated the harvest with the Indians. The couple were the Indians.
Lastly, we celebrate another wonderful and healthy day with chocolate.
